THRC is a Christian faith-based organization guided
by the Christian faith and beliefs
that provide
a strong foundation for bringing hope, healing, and transformation to individuals and
communities impacted by conflict, emotional suffering, and trauma.
Our work is guided by the fundamental beliefs of the historic Christian faith, which
provide us
with motivation and direction:
We affirm that the Bible is the inspired, authoritative, and infallible Word of God. It reveals to us the character and will of our Creator and is the foundation for our faith and practice.
We believe that there is one God who is eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He is the Creator and Sustainer of all things and the ultimate source of love, truth, and justice.
We confess the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, who was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, performed miracles, died a vicarious and atoning death on the cross, rose bodily from the dead, ascended to the right hand of the Father, and will return in power and glory. We believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God who came to bring salvation to the world
We acknowledge that salvation is a gift of God's grace, received by faith alone in Jesus Christ. Regeneration by the Holy Spirit is necessary for spiritual rebirth and growth. It is not earned by good works or human merit but freely given by God to those who repent and believe in Him.
We affirm the ongoing ministry of the Holy Spirit, who indwells and empowers believers to live a life pleasing to God. He is the Comforter, Guide, and Teacher who convicts us of sin, leads us to truth, and helps us to pray.
We look forward to the bodily resurrection of the saved and the lost. The saved will inherit eternal life, while the lost will face eternal judgment. This truth gives us hope, comfort, and motivation to live for Christ in this present age
We believe the Church exists to worship and glorify God for all eternity. It is commissioned by Christ and empowered by the Holy Spirit to participate in God's transforming mission within history. We are called to love God with all our heart, soul, and strength and to love our neighbors as ourselves. Therefore, we commit ourselves to live as a community of reconciled sinners in unity, humility, and sacrificial love, sharing the gospel with all nations and providing compassionate ministry to those who have experienced trauma.
