Millions of women and girls in the MENA region suffer from various forms of gender-based violence and trauma, including intimate partner violence, sexual harassment, and discriminatory practices. Studies reveal high rates of anxiety, PTSD, and depression among women in this region, with significant barriers to accessing mental health support.
Through Raha Nafsiya, we aim to empower women’s psychological well-being by producing engaging media, including podcasts and video series, that address women’s traumas and psycho-social challenges. We also offer free, one-on-one, trauma-focused therapy sessions online through our Contact Center.
We know from our results that many are turning to the internet to find answers and support for the trauma they endure. Our goal is to expand our online presence to reach more individuals.
