Our Commitment to Safeguarding and How to Report Concerns
THRC is dedicated to serving the community with the
highest standards of ethics and accountability. We are committed to safeguarding
children and vulnerable adults from all forms of harm and abuse and promoting their
rights to respect, dignity, and safety. Our culture is zero-tolerance for all forms
of harm and abuse, and we work to ensure that safety concerns and incidents of
misconduct are reported, investigated, and resolved in a fair and appropriate
manner.
Our perspective on safeguarding is that:
-
Child and vulnerable adult abuse and exploitation are never
acceptable.
-
All children and vulnerable adults have the right to be protected
from abuse and exploitation.
-
The well-being of children and vulnerable adults must be improved by
promoting their rights as outlined in relevant UN Conventions and
standards.
-
THRC staff and representatives have a duty of care to protect
children and vulnerable adults affected by our work and operations.
-
We ensure that our implementing partners meet minimum protection
standards for children and vulnerable adults in their programs,
especially those funded by THRC.
If you have a claim or concern involving the abuse of a child or vulnerable adult,
please report it to THRC at info@menathrc.org or through the THRC Safeguarding
Complaints Form. This includes any observed or suspected abusive behavior,
allegations made or revealed, or indicators of abuse by THRC staff or partners.
