Trauma Healing Resource Center’s aims to provide mental health and psychosocial support in hard-to-reach areas in more than 24 countries within the Middle East region and the neighboring countries.
Across our Middle East region and the neighboring countries, THRC helps people cope, heal, rebuild their lives, and thrive again in the wake of emergencies by concentrating on the MHPSS
Protects vulnerable persons by encouraging social connections to be maintained during times of crisis.
Is safe, dignified, all-inclusive, community-owned, and culturally acceptable and incorporates preexisting resources and cultural norms to increase its effectiveness and reach after our response has ended.
Enables persons with mental and social health issues to have access to quality care by referring them to traditional community-based support groups and key community leaders to provide psychosocial support.
Focuses on improving existing health systems by training both medical and nonmedical professionals
Integrating the MHPSS with livelihood support to significantly increase the impact of our programming on national systems like community supports, informal education systems, health, and social services. This improved the reach and sustainability of activities and reduced the stigma associated with stand-alone mental health programs.
Vulnerable children and adults displaced in camps and hard-to-reach areas need our continued support, and we cannot do it without you. Help us fight injustice against them by supporting our mental health and psychosocial mission with a donation.
